• Relieve acute and chronic pain due to recent or old injuries.
  • Help to correct poor posture and re-align the body.
  • Release tight muscles, deep connective tissue and fascia.
  • Break down painful adhesions and deposits which can then be eliminated.

Also highly beneficial in enhancing work carried out by physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors.

The adverse effects of stress on our physical and emotional wellbeing are well documented. Stress transfers directly from the mind into the body’s tissues, causing a wide variety of musculo-skeletal problems which are alleviated, or removed, with skilful and sensitive massage.

  • Enables the whole body to function more effectively. Muscles and major organs benefit from increased blood and lymph circulation which enables more oxygen and nutrients to be delivered, and more harmful toxins to be released and eliminated.
  • Alleviates/removes pain caused by tight muscles and fascia and opens up the body to enable energy to flow more freely, leaving the client more relaxed and energised.
  • Speeds up the healing process and helps to re-align the body.

In addition to the highest level of massage qualification for Remedial/Sports Massage, Bart's degree in Physiotherapy gives him greater insight into the actual source of a client’s problems. Connecting lifestyle habits with the areas of pain and tightness allows him to identify the potential causes of recurring issues. He is also able to advise on beneficial exercises adapted for each client’s problems.

Bart does not follow a standard massage routine. He synthesises many different techniques in order to meet individual needs. Rather than focussing solely on a problem area, he treats the body as a whole, integrated unit. As he says – “treatment is about bringing the body into balance and feeling connected with it.”

Constant feedback occurs with the client as the massage progresses, checking that the pressure is correct, and identifying particular problem areas. The client remains in control throughout.

Bart certainly excels in his field. He is very well qualified, has truly healing hands, and his degree in Physiotherapy enhances the effectiveness of his work. His treatments get right to the root of a problem, and after my first treatment with him it was clear that I had really ‘struck gold’! I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Over the years I have had a great deal of massage, and this is the best massage ever! Also a trained physiotherapist, Bart understands the problems I have with my back. He is extremely good at massage and intuitively seems to know what I need. After treatment I feel incredibly comfortable, pain free and supple. I highly recommend him.

Having injured my back and been in a lot of pain, I saw an Osteopath for a number of sessions. This helped a little but did not remove the pain or the problem, which became really embedded over several months. Then I was recommended to Bart. Having now had a number of treatments with him I am no longer in pain, and am far more mobile and flexible. I cannot recommend Bart too highly and I plan to have regular treatments with him for general health and wellbeing.

Bart is able to work deeply into the muscles and fascia to release pain. He does not have a set program of massage for everyone, but customises his treatments to the needs of each individual - so you can select the areas of your body which need special attention. The next morning I felt great - no pain in my shoulders or other areas of my body that previously troubled me. Also, I felt very cared for during the massage and will certainly have more treatments with Bart when I am in the country again.
